JOSIE JORDAN

In crafting the visual identity and print collateral for Josie Jordan’s deeply personal memoir, the idea was to encapsulate the author’s transformative journey from the urban vibrancy of Brooklyn to richly textured life in Marrakesh. The use of symbolic illustrations, such as a snake becoming a flower, open cardamom pods, and simple mountain ranges, are used metaphorically. Marrakesh is a unique tapestry of Morocco, and this boldly illustrative graphic style is the invitation to delve into the book, and thus, the exotic world that Josie eloquently portrays.
