CLOTH ROAD EARTH PIGMENTS
Andes, Peru
For Cloth Road, an earth pigment company in Peru, the identity and packaging design is deeply rooted in the natural and cultural heritage of the Andes. At the heart of the design is the Andean Condor, an iconic symbol of power, freedom, and the connection between the heavens and the earth in Andean mythology. This majestic bird, revered in Peruvian culture, was chosen to represent the authenticity and longevity of Cloth Road’s organically cultivated inks. The Condor’s image, stylized to resemble a stamp, is applied across digital and analog branding, achieving a cohesive and culturally resonant storyline. Design further incorporates the grandeur of the Andes mountains, and the origin of the Cloth Road journey, grounding the identity into the land from which the pigments are derived. Stones dipped in Cloth Road’s Gouache colors provide color clarity on packaging, while deliberate type in the style of brush strokes, adds succinct allure. The result is powerfully spirited through every touchpoint.
